On Thursday, July 24, 2020, Lawrence Kimura, husband, father and son, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 84 years. Larry, a man from humble beginnings, went on to graduate from UC Berkeley and had a lifelong career at GE as an mechanical engineer. At a dance that he organized with some friends, he met Kathy Hattori, who was his wife of 56 years and raised 3 children, Tami, Scott and Darren in Saratoga, CA. He was known for his love of building and creating things, a trait shared by all 3 kids. Larry and Kathy shared many of the same interests such as golf, bridge and tennis and were dedicated players of these sports. The fullness of his life was reflected in his joy when spending time with his 6 grandchildren, Mikey, Matthew, Tiffany, Kyle, Khloe and Maia. Larry will be lovingly remembered and missed by his family.
